I love the photos you took of the palace!   DOES seem like 40 degrees Celsius is not as hot as it's Fahrenheit equivalent.  That's the kind of denial that can only help you, and I would totally join that club.

Isn't it amazing how OLD this stuff is? Every time I travel to Europe, I'm amazed by the amount of history they have that we never will have (we'll never catch up!)

Yes Lori.  Ancient is something that won't happen in the US for many years.  I was really surprised at the amount of rubble, of homes and businesses that were bombed during world war 2 and still standing broken, as artifacts.  It was...

Yes. Although I feel like it would be difficult to get it across in photos. When we were in Turkey, we saw cave etchings that we incredibly complex and intricate, and they wouldn't let us use flash.

I can understand no flash...but even the iPhone takes great pictures in lit rooms, in low light situations, without flash.  I got away with snapping a few, I wish I had gotten more in the catacombs.

Yeah...I did get SOME pictures without the flash. It really is hard, though, to communicate the incredible intricacy of these things, and the awe you feel looking at beautiful paintings that old.
