I've often thought this would be a fun thing to do...thanks for sharing your experience.  My hesitation has always come from the inability to choose exactly what you get.  So what was your favorite new vegetable discovery?

YES! They are amazingly good.  A little olive oil & sea salt, a little broiling, and magic!  Even the kids liked them.  Shoot, now I'm hungry for some kale...

They taste just as good as potato chips.  I found out first batch...EASY on the salt.  Now I'm hungry for kale chips too!

I'm going to have to try that.   I know people around here who subscribe to some kind of produce service, and I think you get to pick out your stuff. Don't they have something like that where you live (one step shy of the CSA, sounds like)?

yes one step shy, you're right.  farmers market would work too, then i just pick out what i want.  it was a fun experience.  you will LOVE LOVE kale chips!

YUM, your cookies look fabulous!! You don't make all those, do you?   No trauma for me, thankfully, although I've had trauma from in-laws in the past.

no no, i let myself off the hook and bought cookies.  there's a little restaurant/bakery in muskego called the gingerbread house and their cookies are better than any i can make anyway.

Hubby and I are feeling a little better tonight about our trip to PA tonight.  I'm glad he lets me talk it out over and over.  I think it really helps that I wrote it out and got the poison out of my system.  I've been emailing them...
