That last sentence? I have said that a million times. Sounds rough, Karen. It breaks my heart to hear childhood stories like yours: all my "character-building" stories are things I brought on myself, while my parents were as loving and supportive as...

Lovely pictures, as usual, Karen. Can't wait to see the pics with the NEW camera.   My favorite thing about golf is being out on the golf course, with all that green...I can't let myself get caught up in how bad I am (took me years to figure that...

Thanks so much for the nice words about my photos Lori!  I too have resigned myself to being just a duffer.  And you're right, enjoying the quiet and green and the fresh air are the things that are great about golf!     Michael...

You need to keep writing these, Karen.  It's like a breeze of fresh air through my in-box.  And I find myself nodding furiously (trying to be a 100 golfer, old lady arms...) LOL

I like the mental image of you taking pictures of flowers while golfing. Seven holes sounds like a good "warm-up" to me...especially when it's that cold!

Thanks for posting these Karen!  Housework is my ultimate nemesis and I can use all the hints I can get.  Any ideas about finding and killing the sock monster that eats half of each pair?  I actually found 13 single socks in Catie's...

I'm not really sure how to tame the sock monster.  I used to keep the socks without partners in a big milk crate and go through it when I knew there'd be some matches.  Bad idea.  Putting them in the sock drawer is probably the best...

What a lovely story! I'm glad that you've found someone who brings you such happiness.  And you just KNOW it's better because of what you've been through before, huh?
